Situation:
A global manufacturer of aerospace tube solutions turned to Kormac when considering multiple facility relocations and transfers of work across more than 32,000 square feet of production capacity.

Actions:

  • Analyzed potential plant transfers, expansions, and closures in France, Washington State, and California
  • Conducted detailed scenario planning with forecasted volume, mix, labor, and cashflow projections
  • Reviewed pension liability and French labor regulation issues as well as direct and indirect labor savings
  • Provided detailed equipment, product portfolio, and functional transfer plans and timelines, including temporary process overlap across sites for transition of slitting, forming, drawing, planishing, cutting, etc.
  • Suggested product rationalization to reduce footprint
