Installed Global Logistics Control Tower and best practices
Situation:
A worldwide producer of optical and ceramic products suffered from siloed business regions with limited global coordination, resulting in avoidable logistics costs and trade compliance incidents.
Actions:
- Collaborated with client SMEs from facilities around
the world to create global supply chain roadmaps - Benchmarked contract management at 100+ companies
- Built global logistics control tower (LCT) in Singapore for standardized planning, negotiation and management
- Optimized order, route, mode, pool/docking, network, storage and distribution processes
- Introduced sourcing and purchasing best practices
- Cultivated trade compliance awareness
Results: Developed plan to achieve $46MM to $50MM in savings through LCT rollout across all units and modes of transport. Reduced trade compliance incidents to zero.
